The Judicial Panel on MultiDistrict Litigation meets Thursday Sept. 27 in New York City for consideration of whether federal Avandia cases should be consolidated, and where. For plaintiff's lawyers with Avandia cases, the selection of the transferee MDL Judge is important, in state as well as federal cases, due to the impact of MDL progress (or lack of progress) on discovery and settlement.
