The European Multidisciplinary Conference in Thoracic Oncology reported results of a test done on 35 patients after having surgery called pleurectomy/decortications (removing the outer lining of the lungs for suffers of malignant mesothelioma).
The surgery was used before chemotherapy and as part of a 3 way treatment that included radiation.
