U.S. FDA is warning consumers against taking Hydroxycut products
The pharmaceutical industry has been ineffective in finding a safe weight loss pill that works. Consumers then turn to supplements.
The FDA warned consumers to stop using Hydroxycut used as an aid to weight loss.
The FDA said it found 23 known cases of liver damage, 4 reports of seizures and 46 cardiovascular events.
Iovate the manufacturer says that FDA cites a small number of cases.
The FDA identified which of the many ingredients in Hydroxycut products or its dosage may have caused the adverse reports.
