On August 16, 2011 the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ordered that all pending federal cases involving injuries or deaths alleged to have been caused by the use of Darvocet, Darvon or generic Propoxyphene would be consolidated in MDL 2226. Avandia Settlements Reported

Today it was reported that GSK has settled more than 700 Avandia cases for a sum reported to be approximately 60 million dollars. These are the first reported settlements involving the drug and represent a small fraction of the total claims believed to be pending.
